Seeking New Admin!
Hello again, Everyone!
Let me start by thanking everyone who is part of this group, to all who have commented, watched, given encouragement, submitted, and especially a huge thank you to the current admin we have who have made this group possible.
I know things have gotten slow lately, but as the founder of the group, I am personally responsible for what has happened here. The current administrators are absolutely wonderful people, and they are all amazing artists. They are my friends, and they do things that I can only hope to acheive one day. The thing is, roles in a group like this have to change eventually. Time passes, things change, r
Hello?
I have been away too long....I'm sorry everyone for letting this group slip into abandonment...I am going to try my hardest to revive what used to happen here, however I will definitely need help, and admins who are available and willing to run this show. I am going to be speaking soon to the current admins to hear their thoughts. For now, I am actively watching and will approve requests that have been in waiting.
Tutorials
Guys, please stop submitting everything to tutorials. When you choose to submit a piece, there is a drop-down box that will allow you to select a different folder to submit to. If you can't find where your piece should go, then by all means ask us and we'll let you know.
And just in case there are responses along the lines of "But what I submitted was a tutorial and yet it got rejected," allow me to show you an example or two of a tutorial: http://synconi.deviantart.com/art/Origami-Pikachu-Tutorial-215512533 http://pandacub143.deviantart.com/art/Origami-Brocade-Tutorial-103380198

Another Crane Project
arielyiningloh (https://www.deviantart.com/arielyiningloh) is running a project: 1000 Cranes Project for Japan! This is different from synconi (https://www.deviantart.com/synconi) and moth-owl (https://www.deviantart.com/moth-owl)'s project 1000 Cranes for Fella but equally worthwhile.
arielyiningloh (https://www.deviantart.com/arielyiningloh) says:
The basic plan of the 1000 Cranes is this. The Japanese "belief" that if you make 1000 cranes and make a wish, that wish will come true.
Our original idea was for people to "buy" the cranes ($1 for the first crane and then .50 for any additional ones after that), and then they get to write their name on it to send "hope" to Japan.
Anyway, while this originally started as a fundraiser, we're almost done, and we have a lot of "blank" cranes leftover
